Transformational Tools for Relationships and Emotional Well-being

HOW DO YOU CHANGE?
Many people say they change by learning about themselves. By gaining new understanding, new insight, new perspectives, and understanding how to put more pieces of their story together. Understanding what got you to where you are and why its not working certainly will help you to change yourself.
And, it’s not the whole picture.
Insight isn’t necessarily all we need to change. Sometimes, this can be why people don't see the changes they want in talk-focused practices. Even when we understand the roots of our trauma, our emotional wounds, our childhood, our thought patterns, and all our unhelpful habits, just understanding doesn’t always lead to change. Our old habits are embodied - they’re habitual, automatic, and ingrained in our bodies and muscle memory. We need to find what we’re actually going to do instead of our old habits.
That’s why in Skills for Change, and my practice, we do things differently.
We use a radically informed, holistic approach to help make clear the connections between your mind, body, and the social world you live in - and how none of these can be ignored in finding well-being. We focus deeply on the body so we can explore your struggles on a truly visceral level - getting in touch with how they shape not only your mental and emotional self, but also the actual shape of your physical body. We guide people through shifting into new shapes to learn and embody new possibilities.
Working with me, you’ll learn how to get in touch with your most expansive self, and explore what you really want in life - in both your inner experience and in relationships of all kinds. You’ll learn what’s in the way of you getting those things, and then learn tools, practices, and frameworks to practice and embody to profoundly change how you respond to these obstacles.
This is what I work with people to create: Embodied Change. The kind that changes how you show up in your life every day.
